Can hardly believe it’s 2014 already. Where does the time go?!
2013 was a milestone year for me, as I self published my first novel Beneath the Sleepless Stars. There were many other highlights along the way, including my first Pink concert in June (man that woman is amazing with the amount of agility and effort she puts into her shows – singing whilst spinning 360 in a wire cage or flying on a wire upside around the Arena ala Tinkerbell style and never missing a note!), shaking my bon bon with Ricky Martin in October (yup, he’s still got it!) and seeing my beloved Fremantle Dockers reach the AFL Grand Final for the first ever time. Sadly they were pipped at the post by the Hawks, the better team on the day, but such a massive achievement for the team to finally reach a grand final. Here’s to going all the way in 2014!
Some of my other goals for 2014 include finally learning Italian (beyond, hai qualche amico ricco scapole e bello? haha :P); baking more; trying out new recipes in the kitchen; giving Pilates a go and churning through my reading pile. Plus, I look forward to sharing my tips on how to go about self publishing with other budding authors out there. And getting stuck back into Zumba once more!
