Who doesn’t love a good Easter pun?
Happy Easter everyone!
Here’s a crazy fact for you – they’ve just released the 30th Anniversary edition of the first CD I ever owned – that’s right, Cyndi Lauper’s She’s So Unusual has turned the big 3-0. Eek !!
If you’re catching up on some reading over the Easter holidays, here are some of the books I’ve been enjoying recently.
- Secrets of the Tides and The Shadow Year, both by Hannah Richell
Hannah is a talented story teller who skilfully weaves together interconnecting plots to grip the reader in suspense. Perfect holiday reading.
- Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
I’ll admit I tried to read this over a decade ago but at the time couldn’t get into it. But now the brilliant TV show has brought it so thrillingly to life, I’ve started reading the series once more, partly so I don’t have to wait a year between binge watching to know what happens. Who doesn’t want more Robb Stark in their life? 😛 I love that the hit show has opened the world’s eyes to this genre. Fantasy escapism at its absolute best!
Also be sure to check out The Lego Movie – awesome retro nostalgic fun. “Piece of Resistance” is one of the best movie puns, ever. Plus we had that 80s spaceship growing up!
Hope the Easter Bunny brought you plenty of Red Tulip chocolate this year (you know it’s the best kind) 🙂
