Thought I would share a selection of tunes I’ve been humming and typing along to whilst imagining the soundtrack to Declan and Ally’s relationship…

- Almost Lover ~ A Fine Frenzy (in fact the whole album One Cell in the Sea has been perpetually playing whilst writing this novel)
- Someone Like You ~ Adele (perfect song-ification of lost love)
- Green Eyes, Fix You ~ Coldplay (both for obvious reasons!)
- Skinny Love ~ Birdy (holding on to what may never be…)
- Jar of Hearts ~ Christina Perri (for the icy mood it evokes)
- (It’s Hard) Letting You Go ~ Bon Jovi (a lesser known BJ tune)
- In a Little While, North Star, All I Want Is You, Kite and The Joshua Tree album ~ U2 (who am I kidding – everything U2 fits 🙂 )
- Time After Time ~ Cyndi Lauper (an all time favourite, grew up listening to this)
- Wake Me Up ~ Ed Sheeran (modern day romantic)
- Beneath Your Beautiful ~ Labrinth featuring Emile Sande (if you’ll let me see…)
- Where I Stood ~ Missy Higgins (two loves for one heart…)
- Run, Signal Fire ~ Snow Patrol (again, atmospheric!)
- Stay ~ Shakespear’s Sister (oldie but goodie that captures the essence of the finale)
- Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover ~ Sophie B. Hawkins (another oldie but goodie! Who didn’t love this song in the 90s?!)
- I Go to Sleep ~ Sia (to sleep, perchance to dream…)
